CIS Configurator uses the questions, answers and dependencies set up by the Modelbuilder function to guide the user through the selection process, effectively creating an adaptive approach to the user selections i.e. subsequent questions are driven by the user’s answers or selections. This means that features or options only appear where appropriate. Because our product configuration software operates strictly within the rules that have been established only valid items or selections are created.

As the user goes through the selections, the configuration updates dynamically so that the user can see the changes in features and costs immediately.

CIS Configurator has highly flexible graphic display features including the ability to display multiple images simultaneously so options can be easily displayed to the user. Other features include user controlled flexible window options, displaying composite images for each question with component images matching the answer, preceding and following questions and current selections together with a calculation usually including a  price. A BOM/item list including item details, item numbers, costs and quantities are automatically generated on the fly. The flexible screen layout options that are available allows, a choice of information to be displayed in a format which is both clear and intuitive.
